Rooted & Ready: 72-Hour Emergency Preparedness

Join Queer Garden Network for Rooted & Ready, a calm, practical evening of emergency preparedness and community connection.

6:00–7:00 PM: Emergency preparedness workshop

Walk through Red Cross / FEMA preparedness guidelines with a printed checklist, then brainstorm how to source, prepare, and store supplies for your household—whether that means you, roommates, children, pets, or all of the above. Build a plan to shelter in place for at least three days.

7:00–8:30 PM: Potluck and hangout

Share food, relax, and connect with other queer neighbors. Vegan stew is provided. A dish to pass is welcome but not expected, and you are welcome to come just for the potluck.

Free and open invite. Nothing required; checklists are provided. Optionally bring a dish to share and a rough headcount of the people and pets in your household. All levels of preparedness are welcome.
