Guest Speaker
Shu-Mei Huang is the Coastal GIS (Geographic Information Systems) Specialist with the S.C. Sea Grant Consortium and College of Charleston. As an extension specialist focusing on data visualization and spatial analysis, she designs interactive web tools to deliver science-based information and support coastal resilience.
Before joining the Consortium, she worked as a GIS Coordinator for the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Fish and Wildlife Division. Shu-Mei holds master's degrees in Environmental Science and Public Affairs from Indiana University Bloomington and bachelor's degrees in Economics and Life Science from National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan.
