Elemental Art with Artist-in-Residence Gita

Get creative with metal in the Sun Ray Teen Room! From October through March, teens can explore a variety of metalworking and mixed-media techniques with Artist-in-Residence Gita Ghei. Start with repoussé, pressing your own designs into thick aluminum and copper foil and adding color with markers or patina. As your skills grow, try more involved projects using thicker metal and wire, including wearable art and ornaments. You can even explore advanced techniques such as fired copper clay and enameling.
