Indigenous Book Circle Fall Discussion

Join the Meskwaki Cultural Center and Museum, CFPL, the Hearst Center, and UNI for four seasonal discussions centered around Red Earth Nation: A History of the Meskwaki Settlement, by Eric Zimmer.

Tieranny Keahna, Meskwaki Tribal Historic Preservation Officer, will facilitate large group discussions followed by smaller circles facilitated by UNI faculty, giving participants a chance to consider the beginnings of the Meskwaki Settlement, Cedar Falls, and UNI, and to better understand these places as neighbors.

Whether you're familiar with Indigenous history and culture or just beginning to explore, all are welcome.
