The Michael Weber Show

Michael Weber is bringing his friends together for an epic birthday party concert filled with new music, improvised collaborations with special guests, and outrageous stories. The Michael Weber Show is a high-energy rock 'n roll group hailing from Akron, OH. Weber's sound has garnered him attention including winning MTV's “Amazingness” television show and performing/recording with numerous Grammy winners, Rock Hall inductees, and music legends including including Counting Crows, Nils Lofgren (E-Street Band), Jim Peterik (The Ides of March), and as musical director/guitarist/producer with garage rock legends, The Shadows of Knight (“Wild Man” released on Little Steven’s Wicked Cool Records). With a wide array of creative endeavors, Weber’s career also includes numerous movie scores such as “Satanic Hispanics” directed by Eduardo Sánchez (of “The Blair Witch Project” fame), the invention of the “Baritone Guitarlin” an innovative 35-fret guitar created in collaboration between Weber and Eastwood Guitars, and his social media content centered around his love of esoteric musical gear generating over 14 million views across platforms. Special guests sitting in with the band include Robert and Jack Kidney from the legendary and unexplainably original 15-60-75 (The Numbers Band) and Paul Christensen, Rodney Psyka, and Marc Lee Shannon whose individual careers intersected for decades as members in Michael Stanley’s backing group, The Resonators. In addition to the band of Weber, James O’Connor (drums), Kevin McManus (bass), and Julian Dittmer (keys), more special guests will be announced later. Bob Earley, Akron’s own untamed elder statesman of promotion, will kick off the night with his first-ever, one-man comedy show telling wild stories from his colorful life. As the longtime impresario behind the successful Rockin’ on the River concert series, talk radio host on WNIR 100.1 FM, and former owner of countless legendary Akron-area bars including Ramon’s and BC’s Bus Stop, Bob’s Renaissance Man persona has earned him diverse accolades including the prestigious Crain’s Health Care Hero award and an induction in the Greater Akron Baseball Hall of Fame. Having 6 kids with 5 women, a couple run-ins with the FBI, and 81 years as a magnet for absurdity, nobody’s sure if he’s nuts or not.

The Michael Weber Show is an explosive rock group fronted by guitar phenom, Michael Weber. The band’s live performances are packed with unbridled energy and talent that leave a mark on their audiences of all ages. Weber was also the winner of MTV's “Amazingness” television talent/variety show hosted by Rob Dyrdek.

The Michael Weber Show's latest two albums include Stereogram, a dynamic collection of 10 new Weber-penned tunes, infused with echoes of vintage power pop, and Up Until Now, a compilation of Weber’s favorite studio and live recordings from his catalog.

Amongst Weber’s hundreds of concerts, he has performed on stage with numerous Grammy winners and Rock Hall inductees, including Counting Crows, Nils Lofgren (E-Street Band), Jim Peterik (The Ides of March), and as musical director/guitarist with garage rock legends, The Shadows of Knight (“Gloria”).

He has shared the bill with Ace Frehley, Gin Blossoms, Lita Ford, The Wallflowers, Everclear, Steven Adler, Mark Farner, Donnie Iris, and numerous others. In addition to his own musical project, he played lead guitar alongside late Cleveland rocker Michael Stanley’s Resonators and MSB bandmates in the “The Michael Stanley Songbook” concerts promoted by Live Nation.

A record Weber composed, played on, and produced for The Shadows of Knight entitled “Wild Man” was released on Little Steven Van Zandt’s Wicked Cool Records, came in 4th place on Sirius XM 21’s Coolest Song of the Year listener’s poll, and it received a glowing review on-air from Iggy Pop during his BBC radio program.

In addition to his own records with The Michael Weber Show, Weber composes film scores. His works include “My Name is Lopez,” a documentary on ‘60s pop star Trini Lopez (now available on Amazon Prime and the Roku Channel), “Satanic Hispanics,” a Latin horror anthology in which he composed the entire score for the section directed by Eduardo Sánchez (of “The Blair Witch Project” fame), and “Last Night at Terrace Lanes,” in which (in addition to scoring) Weber spearheaded the soundtrack of all Ohio artists, rallying the creative community.
