K-State First Book Dialogues - Find Your Calling

Join us for an engaging discussion where students, staff, and faculty come together to share their favorite moments from our 2026 common read, Callings, and a chance to explore who you are, what you bring, and the path that will help you get you there.

“For those of you in search of your calling, consider yourself warned: this pursuit takes discipline, resilience, enormous sacrifice, and tremendous hard work. At those moments when the fear creeps in and you’re unsure of where to go or what to do next, remember to trust your instincts always. Relentlessly follow your curiosity, allow yourself to be led by what truly moves you. And don’t compromise your values - ever.”

Whether you're looking to meet new people, deepen existing friendships, or simply engage in thoughtful dialogue about finding your passion and purpose, this event offers a welcoming environment to connect and learn. Come ready to listen, share, and be part of building the supportive community that will guide us towards our callings.

All students, faculty, and staff are welcome! Everyone is also invited to a social after the event, hosted by UPC, to enjoy cookies and drinks.

Interested in leading a small group during the event?

K-State students, faculty and staff are invited to join us as facilitators. Facilitators help small groups engage in conversation around the book, Callings, and build intentional connections. Training is provided and facilitators will a Find Your Calling t-shirt.
