Bio

Matt Riggs, Outreach Coordinator, MARC Solid Waste Management District

Matt has worked in the environmental field for 30 years, 25 of them at Mid-America Regional Council (MARC). He coordinates regional recycling education initiatives such as RecycleSpot.org, the Recycle More At Work partnership, and the recycling hotline. He also coordinates Kansas City Food Wise, the Kansas City Environmental Education Network, and the MARC Green Team. He has an alter ego, Eco Elvis, which he uses to “edutain” people about taking care of the environment and each other.
