Homeschool Adventures: Archery

Ready, aim...read! Join us for a hands-on introduction to archery—a sport of focus, precision, and fun—at Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Schlagle Library. Whether you're a total beginner or just curious, this program is perfect for learning the fundamentals of shooting a bow and arrow safely and confidently.

Led by a certified instructor, all equipment will be provided. Just bring your enthusiasm and sense of adventure!

Registration is required. Children under 8 years old may not attend.

Important Safety Information:

Participants must be 8 years of age or older.

Only registered participants are permitted in the downstairs archery program area. Due to limited space and the active archery range, parents, siblings, and other visitors may not enter the program space during the event.

Parents or guardians must remain in the library while the program is in session and be available at the end of the program for pickup.

If you would like to watch, the downstairs program area has large windows, allowing you to observe the lesson from outside the room without entering the archery area.

Children who are not registered for the program may not accompany participants into the downstairs area.

For everyone's safety and consistency:

Closed-toe shoes are required for all participants.

Personal bows are not permitted. We will use the compound bows provided by the library, which are inspected and maintained for our program.

These guidelines help us maintain a safe environment and ensure all participants can enjoy the program without distractions or unnecessary traffic through the archery range.
