Mad for the Movies: Deals With the Devil - Rosemary's Baby

Every Wednesday night at 6 pm, we invite you to join us at Mad for the Movies for free screenings of classic films with the intent of exploring and enjoying cinema from every era. Movies are chosen to fit a fresh theme each month which will typically highlight an actor or director, a genre, a time period, or a common plot element. You are welcome to stay after the film for a casual chat or treat it like a theater visit and leave as soon as the end credits roll.

Tales of human dealings with The Devil have been around for centuries, whether they're from The Bible, the classic German tale of Faust, or urban legends like bluesman Robert Johnson's meeting at a crossroads. Man's flirtation with the ultimate Boogeyman will be explored in these films ranging from horror to satire.

On this night, we will be watching Roman Polanski's 1968 film "Rosemary's Baby" starring Mia Farrow, John Cassavetes, and Ruth Gordon. It is rated R.

A young couple trying for a baby moves into an aging, ornate apartment building on Central Park West, NYC, where they find themselves surrounded by peculiar elderly neighbors.
