Kansas Half Marathon & 5K

The Kansas Half Marathon & 5K returns to Lawrence on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2026.

Runners and walkers can choose between the half marathon and 5K, and kids can join the fun with a free Kids Fun Run. Both race courses take participants through Lawrence before finishing downtown.

This year’s theme, “Built for the Long Run,” celebrates the box turtle and includes a limited-edition finisher medal and official race shirt.

After the race, stick around for the post-race celebration with food trucks, beer, music and more.

Proceeds from the Kansas Half Marathon & 5K support Heartland Community Health Center and its mission of welcoming all who need care.
