Creative Marketing Using Canva

Creative marketing is crucial for small businesses and non-profit organizations to get the word out about their work. This session will help you understand how to use the free tools available from Canva in order to share your message with the world. This event will be presented by Bec Trickey (she/her), the Marketing and Communications Supervisor at Lawrence Public Library. She’s a creative writer at heart, but found her niche in marketing through her interest in making the most of technologies to help meet the needs of her community through fun, thoughtful communication. In her free time, she likes to read, write, draw, make animations, play video games, and spend time with her wife and two dogs.

If you're interested in workshopping one of your own social media posts, feel free to send a screenshot and link your post to [email protected]. We'd love to have real posts from our community as examples, so we can highlight what is working and what could improve to engage each unique, local audience.

You’re welcome to bring a laptop or check one out from the Tech Desk to follow along during the program. All experience levels are welcome. Questions? Ask Liz: [email protected].
