Genre Mixology: Shaking Up Readers' Expectations with Megan Bannen

Join bestselling, award-winner author Megan Bannen in a celebration of mixing genres into a novel cocktail. We'll talk about the joys and challenges of melding genres that don't always go together as easily as vodka and cranberry juice. Whether you're a Harvey Wallbanger, crushing some sexy ice (planet barbarians) for your romance-forward sci-fi, or a Shirley Temple, stirring up a batch of cozy mystery with a twist of fantasy, this class is for you.

This session is part of the 2026 Writers Conference. Register for this two-day event.
