This year’s conference features bestselling author Megan Bannen, known for her imaginative storytelling, unforgettable characters and sharp wit; Vanessa Riley, a bestselling novelist whose work brings romance and overlooked histories vividly to life; Nina Simon, an acclaimed mystery writer and creator of irresistible puzzles; Dawn Quigley, an award-winning Indigenous author for young readers; Chris La Tray, a Métis storyteller, essayist and memoirist; José Faus, a poet, multidisciplinary artist and community arts leader; Shonda Buchanan, an acclaimed poet, memoirist and educator; Jordan Stempleman, a publishing professional and literary guide; and many more.
New this year are dedicated tracks in mystery, poetry, romance and writing for children, alongside sessions on craft, publishing, creativity and the writing life. Returning favorites include Writers Row, featuring literary organizations, publishers, writing groups and community partners from across the region.
