With a marshmallow heart and a head full of bees, she writes acoustic pop songs about heartbreak, disappointment, procrastination, and animals. Drawing on influences from the 1930’s to now, she often uses traditional song structures to express how absurd life can be. She was first inspired to write songs by Green Day and Blink-182 but most people think she sounds as if Natalie Merchant, the Muppets, and the Barenaked Ladies cowrote a musical. She sings and plays rhythm guitar with Les Pesky Belles and plays cover gigs with the Getaways, the Burnt Ends, the Derailleurs, and with Steve Larson.
