Macabre By Moonlight: Stories and Poems for the Halloween Season
It you love well-told tales that evoke a sense of unease then we have the perfect afternoon planned for you.
The Georgetown College Maskrafters are staging a collection of creepy, classic literary works for this Halloween season. The hour-long production features stories and poems by Saki, Ellen Glasgow, W.W. Jacobs, Walter de la Mare, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and, of course, Edgar Allen Poe. Adding to the atmosphere will be music recorded by the Georgetown College choirs.
Story theatre brings literature to life while remaining faithful to the language of the work-every suspenseful, blood-chilling, hair-raising word. No cheap blood and gore or jump scare can compare to the masterful weaving of a haunting story.
This is a show for anyone who relishes a spine-tingling story of ghosts and curses and misspent wishes told by firelight, and we would be delighted if you could join us. There is no charge for the show, but donations are welcome.
