Bluegrass Civics Competition

Elementary students from Murray and Calloway County will have the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of American government, history, and civic responsibility at the upcoming Bluegrass Civics Competition.

Designed specifically for elementary-level students, the competition encourages young learners to build a well-grounded foundation in civics while developing confidence, teamwork, and an appreciation for their role in their communities and country.

Participants will compete in an engaging academic environment focused on key civic concepts, including the Constitution, the branches of government, American history, citizenship, and citizens' rights and responsibilities.

The competition is open to third- to fifth-grade students currently enrolled in public, private, or home schools and will take place on Saturday, October 24, from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at the Calloway County Public Library. Students will have the opportunity to compete for awards, while schools, families, and community members are invited to support the participants.
