True Crime: Forensic Science and Criminal Investigation

Detective Brian Cochran with the Boone County Sheriff’s Department will present an overview of forensic science and its application to criminal investigations. Detective Cochran has been in law enforcement for twenty-eight years with twenty of those years being in the crime scene unit. He will discuss the day-to-day workflow and responsibilities for his position compared to the stereotypes that are promoted by the media. Those concepts will then be applied in the context of a case study of a complex homicide investigation. Appropriate for adults.
