Righteous Intonation - Duo at Gray's on Main
Righteous Intonation is a San Antonio-based acoustic string band playing Western country music with a bluegrass backbone. Four-part harmonies, fiddle, mandolin, upright bass, and acoustic guitar carry true-story songs of Texas, the American West, and the strange characters who inhabit it. Drawing from the traditions of Marty Robbins, Townes Van Zandt, Doc Watson, and Tony Rice, Righteous Intonation brings old-time storytelling to life with a distinctly nostalgic sound.
A 4-piece, San Antonio based, Country Western band with a bluegrass skeleton, western guts, angelic voices, and fingers of white lightning. Their songs of westward expansion, riverboat tragedies, and gold-mining ghost towns are woven with a pure tapestry of warm harmonies, intertwining melody lines, and hearts that glitter more than Fort Knox gold. Righteous Intonation will make you sit up and say “Gawd damn who are those boys”? Righteous Intonation are touring through Texas through the end of the year with acclaimed Singer Songwriter Anna La Mare to promote their newly released first album, Vaqueros. Recorded live at Ice Cream Factory Studios in Austin, Texas, this 15 track album blazes with stories of the Texas frontier, the ghostly harmonies of Marty Robbins, and the fusion of four distinctly talented Texas musicians.
