TOPIC OF THE MONTH: WHY DO PEOPLE MAKE ART?

Do you feel like you hold lots of beliefs about things, but have no place to have a deep conversation? Do you enjoy dialogue that is open-minded, and that encourages acceptance, curiosity, discovery, and sincerity? Do you feel like a lot of life can feel shallow, and that it is rare to actually talk to other people about things that are of importance to you? Well then, Conversation Cafe is a good fit! Here's how it works:

- We assemble up to 8 people plus host.

- Pass around a talking object, and each person speaks, no feedback or response.

- Again with talking object, each person deepens their own comments.

- Dialogue - open, spirited conversation. Use talking object if there is domination, contention, or lack of focus.

- Final round - with talking object, each person says briefly what challenged, touched, or inspired them.

This is a great opportunity to meet your fellow citizens in an open civic space to have important discussions that are safe, exciting, and relevant.
