Beginner Sewing Class - Pillowcase Supply List

- Main body of pillowcase: 3/4 yard (27 inches) of 44 inch wide COTTON fabric of your choice.

- Contrasting cuff of pillowcase: 1/4 yard (9 inches) of 44 inch wide COTTON fabric of your choice.

- A thread to match your project

***To help ensure our class time runs smoothly, please double check that the fabric is cut to the correct size and ironed. Consider pre-washing your fabric beforehand to prevent shrinking. Sometimes, it's best to buy a few extra inches of fabric in case it shrinks, or you have to even out an uneven cut off of the bolt.

Places to shop: Even with Joann Fabrics closing, you can still purchase fabric, thread, and notions at stores like Hobby Lobby, Walmart, and some Michael’s. You can also purchase fabric online on websites like moodfabrics.com, spoonflower.com, fabricdepot.com, etsy.com and more. Another great option is to recycle old fabric items like cotton bedsheets.

If you have any questions, need to use an iron, or need help ensuring your fabric is cut correctly, please see Mallory in the iCube and she will be more than happy to help. [🙂]
