Gloria Coles Flint Public Library 175 Gala

For 175 years, the Gloria Coles Flint Public Library has been part of Flint’s story—a place where generations have come to discover, imagine, connect, create, and Learn for Life.

Now, it’s time to celebrate.

Join us on Saturday, November 7, 2026, for Looks as Books: Celebrating 175 Years of Stories with Style, an extraordinary evening honoring the Library’s remarkable past while raising a glass to the chapters still waiting to be written.

From the moment you make your Red Carpet entrance, expect an evening filled with literary-inspired style, live entertainment, a strolling dinner, cocktails, music, celebration, and a few surprises along the way.

And when the evening’s main celebration concludes, the story isn’t over—the party continues upstairs at our Glow Up After Party!

LOOKS AS BOOKS: WHAT WILL YOU WEAR?

The theme is literary. The look is entirely yours.

Take inspiration from the stories you love and make them your own. Channel your favorite book cover, beloved author or character, iconic series, literary era, or simply the colors, mood, or aesthetic of a favorite read.

Go bold. Keep it subtle. Get glamorous. Be clever. Be classic.

This isn't a costume party—it's an invitation to have a little fun with your formalwear and let literature inspire your look.

Come inspired. Dress with a literary twist. Turn the page in style.
