Read to a Dog with Shannon and Yeti

Lincoln City Libraries partners with Healing Heart Therapy Dogs to offer the community a unique reading opportunity. This program encourages children ages 5 to 12 to build confidence, vocabulary and fluency by reading to a Reading Education Assistance Dog (R.E.A.D.) trained therapy dog or cat. Therapy pets and their handler are partnered with children who read in 15 minute shifts once a week for six weeks.
