New Supervisor Orientation

This program gives new supervisors (and those wanting a refresher) the foundation most supervisors wish they'd had on day one. The morning covers the HR essentials you're now accountable for\: the policies you'll use most, classification and compensation basics, and when to call HR before acting. The afternoon focuses on the people side of the job - how to build trust with your team, set clear expectations, and have the everyday conversations that keep small issues from becoming big ones. You'll also meet your HR partners face to face and connect with fellow supervisors from across campus, so you'll know exactly who to call when questions come up. Lunch will be provided.

Who should attend\: Staff and faculty who supervise staff (not faculty). New supervisors are especially encouraged, but all are welcome.
