Nebraska Rural Poll Webinar

Trails in rural Nebraska are used for recreation opportunities for both residents and visitors. Though the prevalence of trails has typically been concentrated in certain areas, many communities continue to develop trail systems in their area. In addition, Nebraska has nearly 950,000 acres of forestland, with over 1.2 million additional acres with tree cover, including windbreaks and wooded pasture lands. The Nebraska Forest Service (part of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln) works to protect and manage forests across the state through education, stewardship, tree planting, and support for rural fire departments. Join us to discuss how Nebraskans are utilizing these resources in their rural communities.
