PlantNebraska presents Plants and Pints
PlantNebraska will hold its annual fall event, Plants and Pints, on Tuesday, October 20, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Crete Carrier Riverview Lodge at Mahoney State Park in Ashland. Benjamin Vogt, nationally recognized landscape designer and author, will be the keynote speaker.
Vogt is the author of "Prairie Up\: An Introduction to Natural Garden Design" and "A New Garden Ethic\: Cultivating Defiant Compassion for an Uncertain Future." His landscape design work has been featured in Better Homes and Gardens, The American Gardener, Midwest Living, The New York Times and The Washington Post. Vogt is the owner of Prairie Up, which offers garden design, online classes, workshops, webinars and guidebooks.
Plants & Pints is an annual fundraising event for PlantNebraska, with proceeds supporting tree planting, garden making and environmental outreach throughout the state. Tickets for Plants and Pints are $50 for PlantNebraska members and $65 for the general public and include a buffet dinner. A cash bar will also be open. Register at plantnebraska.org/plants-pints (21 and older only).
An option to purchase a copy of Vogt's books "Prairie Up" and "A New Garden Ethic" at the discounted price of $20 each with an event ticket purchase is available.
