Threads of Democracy: Textiles and Memory Book Talk

Join us for our first Book Talk of the Threads of Democracy Project, where we will feature Michelle Sweetser, Head Librarian and University Archivist for the BGSU Center for Archival Collections (CAC) and avid quilter, to lead a discussion of themes from Betsy Ross and the Making of America, by Marla R. Miller.

She will feature personal quilts and other collections of textile-related memories in her talk, which relates to broader themes of women in textile work in early America.

This project is supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts. To find out more about how National Endowment for the Arts grants impact individuals and communities, visit www.arts.gov. We also want to acknowledge Arts Midwest, which is supporting the implementation of this grant project.
