Learning & Workshops

Career Explorers - Northridge Branch

This monthly educational program provides a lot of information about each career topic using stories and hands-on instruction. For those who enjoyed learning from the CTC career kits that were previously available and for those who want the chance to learn about career path options, please attend one, a few, or all of the sessions. This is geared for students in grades K-8 (Parents/caregivers with children under age 8 must remain in the program with them. Children ages 8-10 must have a parent or caregiver in the building.)

The more sessions you attend, the more patches you earn! It is not necessary to attend the same branch each month. Locations offering sessions include: Enon, Houston, Main, Northridge, Southgate and Tuttle.

Monthly themes are:

September: Construction & Architecture; Veterinary Science

October: Dental Assisting; Manufacturing

November: Aviation

December: Information Technology & Entrepreneurship

January: Cosmetology & Soft Skils

February: Career Technical Education Awareness (All Pathways)

March: Agriculture

April: Automotive Technology & Welding

May: Education & Medical Careers

NOTE: Some locations will NOT have the program in October, November and December due to previously scheduled programming or holidays.

Please register with CTC here (https://www.scctc.org/community/career-exploration ) or upon arriving at the program.
