Lilli Lewis

Toledo Lucas County Public Library welcomes all to our concert series, Live at the Library, a series featuring musical talent as they tour the country. This November, we welcome Lilli Lewis, New Orleans' celebrated "Folk Rock Diva," a classically trained powerhouse composer and performer who glides effortlessly between folk, soul, gospel, and jazz. Praised by NPR for her "storytelling with transformative empathy and classically trained poise" and by The Kennedy Center as a "powerhouse performer," Lewis has earned acclaim from Rolling Stone and Offbeat Magazine alike. Join us for an electric evening with an artist whose voice and artistry have earned national recognition. Free from genre, Lewis is a skillful Americana polyglot for whom folk, country, gospel and jazz are all the same thing. Whether she plays at the Kennedy Center, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, or in a sweaty New Orleans club, Lewis imbues her performances with grace, wit, immense talent, and musical authenticity. Lewis has been Lauded by NPR, Rolling Stone, and Offbeat Magazine, and her most recent release All Is Forgiven, is out now on Righteous Babe Records.
