Learn to make the things you usually buy.
For the second workshop in The Home Apothecary series, we're exploring simple herbal preparations you can keep on hand for everyday skin and body care.
During this intimate, hands-on workshop, you'll learn the foundations of herbal oil infusions, create your own herbal salve to take home, and explore how simple herbal soaks and compresses can be prepared at home.
We'll talk about the purpose of each ingredient, traditional uses, preparation methods, storage and shelf life, and important safety considerations so you understand not only how to make these preparations, but why they're made the way they are.
Your workshop includes:
• One hands-on herbal preparation to take home
• Recipes and instructions for all preparations covered
• Ingredient education and demonstrations
• Supplies and materials used during class
General Admission:
Limited to 10–15 participants.
Community Exchange Tickets: Two spots are available for those who would like to exchange assistance with workshop preparation, setup, or cleanup for their admission.
No previous herbal experience is needed. Each Home Apothecary workshop stands on its own, so you can attend one class or continue through the series as we explore different ways to create useful preparations for your home.
This workshop is for educational purposes and focuses on traditional herbal practices. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease or replace professional medical care.
