Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga is a slow, gentle style of yoga focused on deep relaxation rather than strength or flexibility. Using props like bolsters, blankets, and blocks, the body is fully supported in a small number of passive poses, each held for several minutes (often five to twenty). This allows the nervous system to shift out of "fight or flight" and into a calm, restful state, easing tension, reducing stress, and promoting deep rest and healing.
