ONEplace functions to be a reliable community resource. We envision reflective, courageous, empowered, and anti-racist leaders who bring people and resources together to create meaningful change.
Grounded in learning, imagination, and human-centered values, these leaders support organizations and a thriving nonprofit sector in Kalamazoo.
The ONEplace Emerging Leader Academy (ELA) prepares leaders for executive roles while building the personal and practical skills needed across the nonprofit sector.
Core topics: equity, personal leadership development, and collective impact
Electives: governance, fundraising, strategic direction and operations, cultural competencies, and more
Six-month format with curated sessions, office hours, and priority enrollment in three public workshops
Retreat-like sessions with food and beverages provided
Full attendance expected; each person’s presence shapes the group experience
