Cross Plains Reads: Book Discussion Opportunity

After you've finished reading Sweet Land of Liberty by Rossi Anastopoulo, join other community members for a book club-like discussion of the title! There will be three opportunities this fall to discuss the book:

Thursday, September 24 from 1:30 to 2:30PM

Monday, October 5 from 1:30 to 2:30PM

Monday, November 2 from 6PM to 7PM

About This Program

This fall, we're hosting our first-ever "One Community, One Book" event, called Cross Plains Reads. The premise is simple: everyone in Cross Plains is encouraged to read and discuss the same book title over the next few months. In addition to book discussion opportunities, we'll host other programming throughout the fall related to the book's topic to help deepen our understanding and enrich the reading experience.

Our inaugural pick for this initiative is Sweet Land of Liberty by Rossi Anastopoulo. The title was selected in honor of America's 250th birthday and explores the history of the country through the lens of pie—making it a delicious and insightful pick. Thanks to a generous donation from the Friends of the Library, copies of the book will be available for all to check out with no wait times. Please contact the library if you have questions about obtaining a copy of the book before one of the posted discussion dates.
