Cultivating Depth in the Qigong Practice

Most Fridays every other month

Library Community Room

at 11:00 a.m.

Join us a we dive deeper into our practice of Qigong. Each month of this series we will focus on a different Qigong flow.

This series will rotate with our Spring Forest Qigong.

September:

On the Fridays of September we will learn and practice movements 10 through 18 of the Shibashi Qigong.

This is a flowing form of Qigong that has 18 movements. In July we learned the first 9 movements in sets of three. You are welcome to come even if you have not learned the first 9 movements!

The movements transition from one form to the next, letting the body move like water. These are slow, deliberate motions with deep abdominal breathing, making it suitable for people of all ages and abilities – whether standing or seated.

The movements quiet the mind, help breathing and balance. It will be a lot of fun to learn the technique of each form and how to move smoothly from one to the next.
