Protect Yourself!

Join us for Protect Yourself - a free educational series for all ages that will be featuring different ways that you can ensure your safety.

Starting with Common Scams and Frauds on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 6pm, Jeff Kersten, an Outreach Specialist with the Department of Agriculture, Division of Trade and Consumer Protection, will teach us about different scams and frauds and how to avoid falling into their traps.

On Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 6pm will be Advanced Directives: Protecting Your Health Care Wishes, presented by Attorney Steve Anderson and Clinical Social Worker Nancy Anderson about the ins and outs of advanced directives.

On Tuesday, November 17, 2026, at 6pm we will be joined by Police Chief Kevin Julien of Ladysmith Police Department as he walks us through Security for Home and Self and all of the ways that we can make sure that our physical safety is being accounted for.

All sessions will be held in the lower level of the Library with parking in OJ Falge for ease of access.
