FVCB Fall Concert

Our concert will present a wide range of music, beginning and ending with pieces from the 19th century, with several new and old band classics in between. We will begin with The Mill on the Cliff Overture by Carl Gottlieb Reissiger, a contemporary of Franz Schubert. Following that will be Elegy, by John Barnes Chance, and David Holsinger's Havendance. Also on the program is an early band classic, An Original Suite, composed by Gordon Jacob. We will conclude our concert with Liebestod from Richard Wagner's seminal opera Tristan und Isolde. Our march for the evening, in honor of the 250th year of our country's founding, will be John Philip Sousa's George Washington Bicentennial March.
