Lawyer in the Library

Attorney Andrea Cooks will be available for free 20-minute appointments to assist you with legal coaching, document review, referrals to additional community services, e-filing court documents, and legal questions. This session is walk-in at the library and first come, first served only. No appointments ahead of time. Sign-in begins at 4:50 and there are 6 slots available. Sign in with the librarian in front of the circulation desk and wait your turn to see the attorney. Bring any paperwork associated with your legal matter.

Note: You cannot reserve your spot before 4:50PM. After that time, it is first come first served to sign-up with the librarian.

The Lawyer in the Library program was initially launched with a Self-Represented Litigant Coordinator Grant through Access to Justice Division, AOIC; Brenda Sprague, Coordinator, Office of the Chief Judge, First Judicial Circuit. Free consultations are provided by volunteer attorneys.
