The Cogelow Art Center presents Coming Home

An exhibition of woodcarvings by Fred Cogelow

with selected works by area artists: Jesse Garcia, Mary La Patka, Shalese Sands, & Ana Serrano

The Cogelow Art Center is hosting its inaugural exhibition, Coming Home, from September 28 through October 30 at the Kandiyohi County Historical Society in Willmar.

The exhibition features woodcarvings by internationally renowned woodcarver Fred Cogelow, along with selected works by four area artists: Jesse Garcia, Mary La Patka, Shalese Sands, and Ana Serrano.

Two Cogelow masterpieces are coming home to the area: Dog Dies Running and The Swing Is Broken. Both works have been given to the Cogelow Art Center on long-term loan by Kay Thompson in memory of her late husband, trial lawyer Joe Thompson.

Exhibition Hours

Monday–Friday: 9 a.m.–4 p.m.

Saturday: 10 a.m.–2 p.m.

The exhibition is free and open to the public.

Stop by the Artists’ Reception on Tuesday, Sept. 29th from 5-7pm at the Kandiyohi County Historical Society to meet the artists.
