Great Country Music, Done by The Best!
A Little About Jesse
Jesse was reared in Central Oklahoma. He grew up singing and hearing four-part harmony every Sunday. The a Acapella Christian music he grew up with greatly influenced his music education. Thus, reading shape notes and filling in to even out the weakest part of the harmony was foundational in his music development.
His mother gave Jesse his first guitar after realizing he was singing along to the radio in the back of the station wagon at 3 years old. (He claims the trumpet is his first instrument)
The legends that continue to influence him are: Tennessee Ernie Ford, Hank Snow, Hank Williams, Bob Wills, Conway Twitty, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, George Strait, Keith Whitley, Vern Gosdin, Marty Robbins, Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Freddie Fender, Little Richard, Muddy Waters, The Gap Band, Night Ranger, George Jones, and Chuck Berry.
Jesse’s rich voice spans a wide range. He can vibrate the basement with his bass and yodel in a high falsetto. He learned this from the artists he admired and perfected it by singing to cattle on his family’s ranch in rural Montana. Jesse is often asked to sing deep songs by Johnny Cash or obscure tunes no longer heard on the radio. Jesse loves audience participation when entertaining.
Jesse is also a prolific composer and poet. He has written approximately 250 songs about: going to war (Desert Storm), funny songs about life, songs to please his love, or self-proclaimed “improvements” to songs you already know.
The band “Jesse and The Medicine Men” has grown to playing over 200 shows a year and can’t wait to visit every corner of the world. We are constantly striving to bring “Real Country Music” to every doghouse, firehouse, roadhouse, and packed stadium house. It is our honor to perform and bring a smile to everyone. We cannot believe we get to do what we love for a living.
Now living in Central Iowa, Jesse has recorded his second Album, “Little Tortilla,” and has released it worldwide. All of the live shows get it a month ahead of time. My live fans deserve a little more!
Good News! Two songs are nominated for the Western Heritage Award at "The Cowboy Hall of Fame" in Oklahoma City, OK.
“Outlaw On The Run” as well as “Waiting on Your Love” (Season Of The Rodeo)
