Choral Vocal Day 2026

The School of Music at Central Michigan University is proud to announce Choral Vocal Day, a program designed for choral directors and their talented high school vocal students!

The registration deadline is September 30, 2026.

Sample schedule

8:00 AM — Arrive

8:30 AM — Warm up (choir room)

9:00 AM — Performance on stage and clinic

9:30 AM — Watch other choirs in Staples

10:30 AM — Attend T/B and S/A masterclasses, respectively

11:30 AM — Lunch

1:00 PM — Q&A with CMU BM, BME, and MT majors

1:30 PM — School of Music/Theatre department tour

2:00 PM — Concert by CMU students and faculty

3:00 PM — MT workshop/masterclass (may not be offered to all participants)

4:00 PM — Rehearsal with Dr. Chandler on selection for final concert

5:00 PM — Final Concert (guest performers with attending students joining on final selection)

Payment

The cost for this event is $250 per choir. Registration

fees must be paid upon application. Lunch and dinner (tons of options

on campus and in Mt. Pleasant!) are the responsibility of each student.
