Jane Austen Book Club: Northanger Abbey

Whether you're a lifetime Austen fan, have only seen some movies, or this is your first Austen experience, immerse yourself in the world of Northanger Abbey. We will meet on Saturday, November 7th, at 2:00 PM in the lower-level Program Room B at Loutit District Library.

Pick up a free copy to keep (while supplies last) at the Information Desk in the Adult Wing of the library, or find alternative formats in the link here to borrow for free.

Our book club is a casual opportunity for readers to discuss what they enjoyed, and what confused or interested them. There is no pressure to speak or even like the book (though we hope you do!). Some people are inspired in the moment by a conversation, but others prefer to have some questions to mull over before speaking in a group, so linked here is a PDF of some optional questions for you to read through, if you’d like, prior to the meeting. This isn’t a class, so you don’t need to have answers or even look at them at all. Warning: spoilers if you haven't finished the book yet.

Registration is encouraged but not required. Teens are welcome!

Mark your calendars for our future book club meetings!
