G-Mitten, a Michigan-based rap and hip-hop artist, grew up in a diverse environment. Raised in multiple residences with his three brothers and divorced parents in Flint, Michigan, he later gained two half-sisters, a stepsister, a stepbrother, and a stepmother. He graduated from Burton-Bendle High School and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in digital media production from Grand Valley State University. He relocated to the East-side of Michigan, settling in Southfield and Royal Oak. After three years He returned to Grand Rapids, where he has made his permanent residence.

G-Mitten’s music is known for its lyrical mastery, emotional depth, creative expression, and universal appeal. His distinctive chopper flow allows him to effortlessly transition between word schemes and flow patterns. His lyrics cover a wide range of topics, including mental health, childhood experiences, contemporary events, and his empowering message that individuals can overcome their circumstances and achieve greatness.

In addition to his musical pursuits, G-Mitten values his companionship with two dogs and two leopard geckos. He enjoys outdoor activities, sports, culinary endeavors, spending quality time with his significant other, and exploring the state and beyond.
