Health, Help, and Nursing: A Community Event
Join Baker College nursing faculty and students for Health, Help, and Nursing: A Community Event!
Learn how to respond with confidence during common health emergencies through educational demonstrations and hands-on practice. Participants will learn when and how to call 911, practice hands-only CPR, and explore choking response techniques for adults and children, including abdominal thrusts and the use of choking rescue devices. The event will also feature basic first aid education, practical health information, and opportunities to learn more about nursing careers and educational pathways.
Community members of all ages are welcome to stop by, ask questions, practice potentially lifesaving skills, and connect with local nursing students and educators.
Please note: This is an educational awareness event and does not provide official CPR certification. Information about approved CPR certification courses in the area will be available for those interested.
