A Crash Course in Comics' Chaotic History

Our presenter, Michael Noble, will provide attendees with an overview of the comics code, the way censorship has affected works, and the chaos that happens in the comic book industry that helps and hinders the works we know and love. The history of the industry will be explored with a focus on Marvel and DC, and what sprouted from them, such as big-screen adaptations, to small shows, to real-life inventions.

Michael Noble received his Master's in Liberal Arts from Indiana State University in English with a concentration in Creative Writing focused on comic books. He has been an instructor at many of the local universities, teaching English Composition, Communications, Creative Writing, and Literature. He has an amazing wife and son whom he loves very much.
