Lost Anchor at the Melody Inn
With Hemlock Row and Graffiti Black
Indianapolis alt-rock outfit Lost Anchor is the brainchild of Geoff Zentz and Seth Smitherman, musical collaborators and friends of over 20 years who joined forces to make music that perfectly channeled a combined sonic vision — letting go of the rest, a nod to which the band's name pays homage. Work on their debut album Turning Tide kicked off in early 2025, and by the time drummer Jonathan Cogswell and bassist Brian Shook had completed the lineup in 2026, Lost Anchor knew they were on the path to becoming exactly the band they'd set out to make.
Building on groundwork laid by legends from Alter Bridge and Foo Fighters to Sevendust, Alice in Chains, and Deftones, Lost Anchor channel a hard-hitting brand of alternative rock built on weighty riffs and lyrics rooted in lived experience. Fully independent and self-recorded, the band stay hands-on across every part of the process, from tracking and artwork to translating it all into a live show that's been winning over a steadily growing audience.
