Kara Cole: Support for CORKEN

Kara Cole opens CORKEN's album release show at The 808 at Indy CD & Vinyl in Broad Ripple. 8 PM. Kara Cole grew up in Indianapolis and started writing songs at 15. By 19 she was playing bars around the city, drawing on Joni Mitchell, Billie Holiday and Loretta Lynn. Now based in Nashville, she writes songs that ride the line between Americana, country, rock and singer-songwriter, carried by a voice that pulls a room in. Her song "Mary Francis," recorded and filmed in Nashville, aired on CMT in May 2023. She opened for Ben Harper and The Oak Ridge Boys at a sold-out, 1,600-seat Palladium, has supported Brandy Clark, Arlo McKinley and Mason Jennings, sold out her last two hometown release shows, played Fall for Greenville, and headlined The 5 Spot with a full band. Her full-length album In The Garden is out now, produced by Kevin Nolan, guitarist and keyboardist for Lainey Wilson.
