Mend and Restore

Mend and Restore brings the most popular service from previous Repair Cafes back to the library as a separate series. Many of us have a piece of clothing that we hope to one day patch up. Whether it's a missing button, a torn seam, or holes in your jeans, a visit to this community sewing station allows a volunteer who specializes in mending-and-restoring well-loved objects to fix it for you for free!

What kind of clothing or fabric object can I bring? Clothing or fabric objects that:

- Are missing buttons

- Need new zippers

- Have holes to be patched or darned

- Have torn seams

What to expect:

- You will partner with an experienced volunteer who specializes in mending to restore your item, extend its life, and keep it out of the landfill!
