Iowa Community Corps

*This program is not sponsored by or affiliated with the West Des Moines Public Library. The purpose of this meeting is to train a cohort of 20 AmeriCorps members to serve at free, pop-up health clinics. AmeriCorps members will learn basic health coaching strategies, diabetes and cardiovascular disease management techniques, and how to conduct blood pressure and blood sugar screenings. These skills will be applied at the pop-up clinics, which are available to community members free of cost.
