25th Sunday after Pentecost; Sunday Worship with Holy Communion
The preacher today will be College Chaplain Matthew Marohl; presided by Associate College Chaplain Sarah Semmler Smith ’04 and assisted by Jonathan Madden ’20, Interim Cantor to the Student Congregation. The Viking Singers will be conducted by Joseph Kemper ’11, Assistant Professor of Music. The Viking Chorus of St. Olaf College is a choir of first-year tenors and basses who carry on a legacy of a chorus singing since its founding in 1935. Featuring a broad repertoire with an emphasis on sacred music, the low voices of Viking sing motets, cantata movements, and anthems, as well as contemporary choral pieces, spirituals, folksongs, and more. The Chapel Ringers handbell choir will be conducted by Jill Mahr, Adjunct Instructor in Music.
