Do you love to write, draw, or make art? Are you motivated to share life experiences, stories, and information with your community? Learn to make zines with Twin Cities Zine Fest! Zines are an instant way to share ideas, stories, and art. In this series of five workshops, participants will learn the basics of different ways to make zines. Topics may include:
History of zines
Working with watercolors
Character creation
Autobiographical comics
Storytelling with zines
All are welcome to drop in or come to all the workshops. Participants who attend all the workshops can compile their own zine, and any participants can contribute to a collaborative zine to be added to the library collection. Materials provided. Collaborator: Twin Cities Zine Fest. This program is funded with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
