Minnetonka Community Reads: Refuge: An Unnatural History of Family and Place

Join Ridgedale Library at The Marsh for a collaborative program with the City of Minnetonka. The 2026 Minnetonka Community Reads selection is Terry Tempest Williams' classic work of natural history, "Refuge: An Unnatural History of Family and Place." Your host, Christine Petersen, Natural Resources Engagement Coordinator for the City of Minnetonka, will present an overview of the book’s themes and lead discussion on how those themes connect to city, country and wider goals for environmental awareness, stewardship, community resilience and sustainability.

Advanced registration is required, and a limited number of free copies of the book are available to registrants.

This event is a collaboration between Ridgedale Library and the City of Minnetonka. Sponsor: Friends of the Hennepin County Library.
